Dear Parents,
Welcome to kindergarten!  I am very excited to have your child in my class.  If you have any questions during the year please don't hesitate to email at nohara@mcmish.org.
 
 
Meet the teacher:  I have been in catholic education for 17 years. I have a B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame and I went through the Saint Mary's College Elementary Education program.  I have taught 3rd grade, kindergarten, and first grade. All of my children attend Mishawaka Catholic and my family belongs to the St. Bavo parish. 

Week of April 8th-12th

**Early dismissal Friday, April 12th at 1:00-No aftercare.

**St. Bavo Fish Fry is Friday, April 12th from 4-7pm.

Things we are learning this week:

Religion:

-We will be discussing the Upper Room (cenacle) where the Passover took place.

-We will be making a poster of Holy Week.

Reading/Writing/Phonics:

-Letter Writing Xx

-Sound /x/

--High frequency words: ate, could, good, said, then, was

-Reading CVC words with vowels a, I, and o.

-Substituting phonemes (example: changing c in cat to the letter f to get fat).

Math:

-Understanding, reading and writing the numbers 16, 17, 18 and 19

-Performance test over chapter 8
