Meet the teacher:  I have been in catholic education for 18 years. I have a B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame and I went through the Saint Mary's College Elementary Education program.  I have taught 3rd grade, kindergarten, and first grade. Three of my children attend Mishawaka Catholic and my oldest daughter is a freshman at Marian High School. My family belongs to the St. Bavo parish.

Things we are learning this week:


 -Letter/Sound of short /Ii/

 -Recognizing vowels and consonants

 -Compound words

 -Identifying initial and final sounds

 -Print awareness



 -Writing Ii words in our dictionaries

 -Writing upper and lower case Ii


-Number 10: Identify, write, count 10 objects


-Working on monthly prayer: Angel of God

-Bible stories

-How to pray the rosary

Note From Teacher:

Continue to practice sight words at home each night.

-Please remember to pack your child a healthy snack. We eat snack at 10:30.

-We have started our kindergarten testing, results will be discussed at conferences.
