Monday, March 30th: MathPractice Rocket Math & Blue Math folder - these will be done daily!

In your packet is a template (DO NOT WRITE ON THIS SHEET!) If you have access to a copier, you can make copies.  Otherwise, use the included lined paper to copy the template.

Each day of remote learning, we will have assignments there for you to complete.  Today, you will be working on fractions. There are two videos and an exercise for you to complete.  Please let us know if you have questions or issues finding what you need.



Language Arts:

Pick any book, something on the 3rd grade level, and you will complete the book report packet attached.  You will have to print this yourself or you can just do the activities on paper if you don’t have access to a printer. Please complete pages 3-4 if your book is fiction, 5-6 if your book is non-fiction.

Bonus point:  Go write a positive message on the sidewalk/driveway with chalk in your best handwriting.  (It can be creative, just make it look nice). Send us a pic!



Writing:


This week is National Physician’s Week.  Healthcare workers are not quarantined in their homes like we are, many are working overtime to help those in need.


This week you are going to write a thank you card to your own doctor (or a doctor you know).  Let them know that you appreciate them. Tell them you’re praying for them. Let us help them know that the work they’re doing is important.

  1. Venny gets up every morning at 7:00.  He leaves his house at 7:45 and arrives at school by 8:00. How much time does he have between getting up and arriving at school?

  2.  Victoria and Mollie went shopping at the mall.  They both had $10.00 to spend, Victoria purchased $8.25 worth of stuff and Mollie spent $6.45. How much change did each of them come home with?



Reading/ELA:Keep working on your packet for Cam Jansen - finish today

You are going to write two letters, one is to my friend’s mother Mary Ann Hess and the other is to Mrs. Steven’s dad                      .

I understand that you don’t know either of these people so here are some ideas you could write to them….introduce yourself, tell them your name, age, where you go to school, what you like to do, play, tell them about your family, maybe tell them a joke, draw them a beautiful picture, etc…. Please make sure to have all parts of a friendly letter:  heading, greeting, body, closing, and signature. I am asking that you mail these from your own mailbox by Friday, March 27th.

Reading/ELA:

Read Chapter 5 from Cam Jansen and the Mystery of the Babe Ruth Baseball Continue to the next page in your reading packet.  Write down at least 10 words with two-syllables from Chapter 5. Also, by Friday please have the Cam Jansen packet finished. Complete the next sheet in the spelling packet.
