MCS History

Mishawaka Catholic combines over 300 years of excellence in a faith-filled environment that fosters sound Catholic values infused with rich academic programs. The spirit of community and love of God at Mishawaka Catholic is exemplified by our highly talented and motivated staff. Our school faculty embraces its ministry as Christian educators and responds to the educational needs of young Catholics by cultivating growth in each child. Through a partnership with the families, each child's individual strengths are recognized and maximized for spiritual, emotional, intellectual, social and physical growth.

In 2011, a unique restructuring initiative led to three Mishawaka Catholic Grade schools (St. Bavo, St. Joseph and St. Monica) joining forces to form a stronger more dynamic learning atmosphere that will further enhance the spiritual and educational needs for our children. The realignment of our school resources will ensure our satellite campuses continue to be centers of excellence for the 21st Century and beyond. Our St. Bavo campus is for Early Childhood through 2nd Grade. St. Joseph Campus is for 3rd through 5th Grade and St. Monica Campus is for 6th through 8th Grade. Affirming our past and empowering our future is what Mishawaka Catholic is all about!
