Meet the teacher:  I have been in catholic education for 17 years. I have a B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame and I went through the Saint Mary's College Elementary Education program.  I have taught 3rd grade, kindergarten, and first grade. All of my children attend Mishawaka Catholic and my family belongs to the St. Bavo parish.

Week of December 17th -21st

**Faith Family Day is Tuesday, December 18th.  Please drop off at the Saint Monica Campus.  We will be brought back to school by buses.

**Advent program is Tuesday, December 18th at 6:30  p.m. at the Saint Monica Campus. Students should wear their Sunday best. NO JEANS

**Thursday-Students are allowed to wear a Christmas shirt or a red/green shirt with school uniform.

**Christmas Party is this Friday from 9:00-9:45-All are welcome to attend as long as your safe environment is filled out. Students are allowed to wear pajamas that day. ( No slippers)

* Report Card testing will take place after break. Please practice September, October, November and December sight words as well as phone number and address with your child. They will be tested over these skills!

Things we are learning this week:


-Preparing our hearts for the birth of Jesus

-Nativity story


-Reading several Christmas books

-Discussing characters, plot and setting.


-Using a group of 5 to put together and take apart numbers to 10.

-Performance test over chapter 5.
